Biotech PanTheryx raises $1.4 million

BOULDER - Biotech firm PanTheryx Inc. has raised $1.44 million in new equity investment, according to a regulatory filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
President and chief executive Mark Braman was not immediately available for comment. PanTheryx received $1,439,858 from 10 equity investors, starting on April 12, according to the filing document. In all, the company wants to raise $10 million.
Boulder-based PanTheryx's company website is "under construction for a major product launch." PanTheryx Medical Pvt. Ltd. also is listed on the company website at www.pantheryx.com. PanTheryx Medical has two office addresses in India. No other details of the relationship between the office in Boulder and the offices in India are listed on the website.
PanTheryx in August raised $3.54 million, according to a previous SEC filing.
In addition, to Braman, Timothy Starzl, Scott Hyman and George Stagnitti are listed as executive officers of the company. Braman, Starzl, Tom Washing and David Cook are listed as company directors. Washing also is a partner at Sequel Venture Partners LLC, a venture capital firm in Boulder. Cook is a retired lawyer from the local office of Faegre Baker Daniels LLP. He received the Esprit Entrepreneur Lifetime Achievement Award from the Boulder Chamber in 2005.
