BROOMFIELD - The sport of roller derby is coming to Broomfield's Odeum Colorado.

Kroenke Sports Enterprises and AEG Live Rocky Mountains said Thursday that they finalized a deal to bring seven home games of the Denver Roller Dolls to the 6,500-seat event center in Broomfield.

The Saturday roller derby games would start at 7 p.m. on March 20, April 17, May 8, June 12, Aug. 21, Sept. 18 and Oct. 16. Tickets will go on sale Feb. 20.

Kroenke Sports Enterprises and AEG Live Rocky Mountains recently took over operations at the former Broomfield Event Center, renaming the facility Odeum Colorado in December. Since then they've announced new concerts such as Furthur and Muse and sporting events such as UFC and now the Denver Roller Dolls.

"People will really be surprised at the athleticism and excitement of these roller derby bouts," said Chuck Morris, chief executive and president of AEG Live Rocky Mountains. "It's going to be some of the most fun and exciting nights out in the region."

The Denver Roller Dolls is a skater-owned and operated nonprofit organization.
