BOULDER - Ryan Ferrero has launched the Green Garage, an eco-friendly automobile repair and service business based in Boulder.

Green Garage brings the station to the customer's front door through its Valet service and its Corporate Mobile service.

"Traditional auto repair is a hassle, feels expensive and does nothing to mitigate the environmental impact of driving. I created Green Garage to address all of these concerns," Ferrero said.
 
Ferrero said Green Garage developed a line of more than 60 "green" products with experts in the automotive and sustainability industries. Green Garage's products are evaluated on solid-waste reduction, carbon dioxide emission, toxicity, water conservation, use of natural resources and social impact. The breadth of products includes nonleaded wheel weights to bio-diesel engine conversions.

Green Garage has approved its "green-tuning" products through an advisory group that includes experts from the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Institute and top environmental experts from the University of Colorado.

Green Garage is headquartered at 1433 Pearl St., Suite 100, in Boulder. Ferrero plans to expand operations to Fort Collins in April and Denver in August with plans to expand its services nationwide in 2011.
