BROOMFIELD - Swedish clothing retailer Hennes & Mauritz H&M AB will open an 18,000-square-foot store at FlatIron Crossing Mall at noon on Thursday, Aug. 23.

The new store will sell clothing, accessories, maternity, lingerie and sports apparel for men, women and children. The latest announcement follows H&M company plans for a new store in the Cherry Creek shopping district of Denver, which has not opened yet. An H&M store in the Denver Pavilions in downtown Denver opened in November.

An H&M spokeswoman declined to release sales numbers for the store in the Denver Pavilions.

"After the successful opening of H&M's first ever store in Colorado at the Denver Pavilions, H&M is thrilled to continue expansion in the state" Daniel Kulle, U.S. president for H&M, said in a press statement.

H&M (Nasdaq OMX Stockholm: HM B) said it will celebrate the FlatIron Crossing store opening by donating gift cards and a financial grant to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver. Employees at the FlatIron Crossing store also will offer coupons valued at $10 to $300 to the first 100 shoppers in line on opening day.

FlatIron Crossing is located at One West FlatIron Crossing Drive in Broomfield. Store hours will be Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
