BOULDER - The second annual Celestial Seasonings B Strong Ride cycling event is gearing up to take more than 700 cyclists on two routes through Boulder County on Saturday, Aug. 11.
The event is a fundraiser for local and national cancer causes, including the new inpatient cancer wing at Boulder Community Hospital, the George Karl Foundation and
the Lance Armstrong Foundation, known as Livestrong.

The event features three ride options starting and finishing at Celestial Seasonings’ headquarters in Boulder.
Mountain Loop – 69 miles through the mountains north and west of Boulder;
Countryside Loop – 24 miles through rolling terrain north of Boulder;
Mini B - One-mile loops on the Celestial Seasonings campus for children 10 and younger.
The event will have live musical entertainment at Celestial Seasonings throughout the day and after the rides are over, including the Jeff Brinkman Band, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and Face Vocal Band, 12:45 to 2:15 p.m.
Event registration fees are $80 for adults and $45 for students and riders younger than  18. Riders also raise funds for the event’s beneficiaries. “Mini B” registration is free. Registration is available online at bstrongride.com through Wednesday, Aug. 9 and onsite at Celestial Seasoning on Saturday, Aug. 11.

Denver Nuggets' coach and two-time cancer survivor George Karl will be on hand throughout the day. The children Mini B ride will feature a race between Nuggets Super Mascot Rocky and Celestial Seasonings’ Sleepytime Bear.
