Office Evolution set to grow via franchises
The Boulder-based company offers virtual office services such as conference rooms, telephone answering, executive suites, reception and mail services, as well as a professional address. New franchises will be priced at $141,000 to $224,000, said Mark Hemmeter, Office Evolution president and founder. The company is targeting locations that are 3,000 to 7,000 square feet, he said.
"We think the time is right for this type of company," Hemmeter said. "Lots of people are working from home."
Office Evolution will do virtually all of the "back office" support for franchisees, including billing, collections, technology management, telephone answering and invoice collecting, Hemmeter said. The privately held company's growth plan is to sell 100 new franchises around the nation in the next five years.
"Our whole culture is about supporting small businesses," Hemmeter said. "It's finding franchisees around the country and teaching them to do. It's just a continuation of our culture and what we're all about."
Office Evolution has opened eight Front Range locations since starting in 2003, beginning with its headquarters at 4845 Pearl East Circle in Boulder. The company has served more than 10,000 client companies since it started, Hemmeter said.
