A Strategic Advantage will present two timely workshops - one for employers and one for employees - at the Bixpo event on Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Embassy Suites, 4705 Clydesdale Parkway, Loveland.

From 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Marie Zimenoff, founder and chief executive of Fort Collins-based A Strategic Advantage LLC, will present Retaining Talent (and Productivity) in a Recovering Economy. As purse strings loosen, Zimenoff said, the 40 percent to 60 percent of workers who have been considering greener pastures since 2010 are starting to move. Often, human resource managers find their plans to retain talent in conflict with management's profitability goals. Her workshop will give HR professionals resources to build the business case for retention programs as well as provide practical solutions for low-cost retention options.

Later in the day, Zimenoff will give employees keys to being promotable or hireable. Her 3 to 4:30 p.m. workshop is titled Be a Lynchpin: How to Position Yourself for Career Success.

With 75 percent of Americans unhappy in their current positions, many are looking to move up or move out to a new career. Zimenoff will provide five keys to increasing career potential and promoting skills.

Other Bixpo workshops will be presented throughout the day by Sandler Training, Social Media Pilots, Mad 360/Mad Wire Media and Vista Solutions.

In addition to workshops, Bixpo 2012 includes the Northern Colorado Regional Issues Conference as well as September Symposium, the eighth annual Bixpo Business Expo, Business Leaders Lunch/CFO Awards and Bixpo Rocks After Hours.
