Outdoor Divas moves near Whole Foods
The new Outdoor Divas store is 1,900 square feet, compared with the former 3,300-square-foot store at 1133 Pearl St., said Kim Walker, co-founder and president. At the same time, the Boulder-based Sport Outdoor Divas Inc. has leased a new 2,200-square-foot warehouse space in Boulder to meet needs of growing online sales, she said. Warehousing, storage and offices all were formerly based in the basement of the Pearl Street store.
"We are very excited about our new location. There's not as much foot traffic as Pearl Street, but we have a lot more people finding us because Whole Foods gets a ton of traffic," Walker said, referring to the center's often-packed parking areas.
Walker opened Outdoor Divas in 2002 in the Pearl Street location. Athleta, a women's apparel and gear store owned by The Gap Inc., is expected to open in the space in November. San Francisco-based Gap (NYSE: GPS) sells clothing at stores that include Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic.
Outdoor Divas also operates a store in the Cherry Creek North shopping district at 2717 East Third Ave., Denver.
