Ball Aerospace lands government contract
Boulder-based Ball Aerospace's System Engineering Solutions division in Albuquerque, New Mexico, received the one-year contract to do engineering and technical support. The contract is renewable for four, one-year periods for a total value of $50 million.
Ball Aerospace will provide evaluations for Department of Defense programs through its work with the National Assessment contract, according to a press statement. The National Assessment Group supports the Department of Defense and other related agencies that buy products and services to support soldiers, according to the press statement.
This is the fifth consecutive National Assessment Group contract awarded to Ball Aerospace, officials said. Ball Aerospace does similar work for the Air Force Research Laboratory's Directed Energy and Space Vehicle Directorates and other U.S. Air Force programs.
Ball Aerospace develops and manufactures spacecraft, instruments and sensors, components and data exploitation systems used in a variety of applications. It is a division of Broomfield-based Ball Corp. (NYSE: BLL), which employs more than 14,500 people worldwide.
