Boulder-based marketing and public relations firm Pivot Communication LLC hired Denise Chapman as vice president of client engagement and strategy. Chapman is a former vice president of marketing for a public software and services company. Chapman has managed all aspects of corporate and marketing communication including marketing strategy, online and offline marketing programs, advertising, event management and product management. Working from Pivot’s eastern satellite office, Chapman will manage several strategic Northeast customers.
Boulder-based marketing firm BlogFrog Inc. hired Greg Zippi as vice president of sales. Zippi has 26 years of experience managing sales and services. Previously, Zippi served as vice president of sales at Adobe, vice president of sales at Omniture; and area sales director at Oracle. BlogFrog helps companies blend advertising, content marketing, consumer shopping and measurable practices around search, online sales and promotion, brand influence and social intelligence.
John P. Mayer, senior research scientist at the University of Indiana, joined the scientific advisory board at Boulder-based AmideBio LLC, a privately held biopharmaceutical company that develops recombinant manufacturing processes for peptides and proteins. Mayer previously was a leader in peptide drug discovery at Eli Lilly and Co. and at Amgen Inc. in Boulder.
Dave Shinneman was named the City and County of Broomfield’s community development director. He has been serving as acting director since January, and will take the reins from deputy city and county manager Kevin Standbridge, who served in a dual role. The stand-alone position is new to the budget for 2013. Shinneman’s salary will be $125,747.
The Tiny Tim Center in Longmont selected Amanda Stovall as its development director. Most recently, Stovall worked as a grant writer and resource development coordinator for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Austin, Texas. She has a master’s degree from the University of Arkansas. The Tiny Tim Center offers developmental preschool, kindergarten and therapeutic services to people in Boulder County.
Eric Mallon was named director of property management for Element Properties LLC, a Boulder-based provider of property management, brokerage, consulting and development services. Mallon has 10 years of development and property-management experience, most recently in Chicago.
Kevin Cooney, a Boulder-based managing director for Chicago-based Navigant Consulting Inc.’s (NYSE: NCI) energy practice, was named co-chairman of the American National Standards Institute Energy Efficiency Standardization Coordination Collaborative’s work group. The group works on evaluation, measurement and verification. He will serve with William C. Miller, program manager and senior adviser at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
