BOULDER - Virtual office-services company Office Evolution recently sold its first franchise to entrepreneur Matt Edgar, owner of EdgarHart LLC in Denver.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Edgar plans to open the first franchise location this summer in the Cherry Creek neighborhood of Denver, although no specific address has been announced, said Mark Hemmeter, president and founder of Office Evolution.

Headquartered in Boulder, Boulder Office Partners LLC, doing business as Office Evolution, has eight company-owned locations in the Denver metro area. The company wants to grow by selling at least 20 new franchises in 2013 in places such as San Francisco, Portland and Seattle, Hemmeter said.

"(We like to go) wherever there are a lot of small businesses and entrepreneurs," Hemmeter said.

Edgar was an Office Evolution client before deciding to buy the first franchise, the company said in a press statement. Office Evolution services include conference rooms, phone answering, executive suites, and reception and mail services. The company started in 2003 and has served more than 10,000 client companies, according to a press statement.
