Ryland joins builders at Anthem Highlands
Last Updated: 16:37 January 15, 2013
Wheelock Street Capital, developer of Anthem Colorado, said Ryland Homes will be building in Prospect Village, the newest neighborhood within Anthem Highlands. Ryland Homes is a division of the Ryland Group Inc., the ninth-largest publicly traded home building company in the nation.
Standard Pacific Homes will also build in Prospect Village, giving them two neighborhoods within Anthem Highlands. Standard Pacific and Richmond American Homes began building in Lookout Village at Anthem Highlands in 2012.
"We've been very particular in selecting new builders," said Jeff Handlin of Oread Capital & Development, Wheelock's Denver partner. "Anthem Colorado was named Denver's Community of the Year and it's important that we maintain that exemplary level. We're confident the new homes within Prospect Village will make the community even more attractive for prospective buyers. And our current residents will certainly enjoy the new parks and trails."
Two new community parks and 172 single-family homes are planned for Prospect Village. Model homes are expected to be open by late 2013.
Anthem Colorado is a 1,700-acre master planned community located in Broomfield at Lowell Boulevard and Colorado Highway 7 and includes the communities of Anthem Highlands and Anthem Ranch.
Nearly 1,400 homes have been built since opening in 2006; the community has been approved for up to 3,500. Amenities in place include two 32,000-square-foot recreation centers, 48 miles of trails and 735 acres of open space.
