The Boulder-based firm sells consulting services and a web-based camp-management and communication system. The sold-out CampMinder Camp will be held Thursday, Jan. 31, and Friday, Feb. 1 at the Hotel Boulderado, 2115 13th St., in Boulder.
Summer camps are an estimated $2 billion-a-year industry, according to Australian market research firm IBISWorld.
CampMinder's revenue has been growing 20 percent to 30 percent per year, mainly through word of mouth, said Paul Berliner, chief operating officer. The privately held company does not release revenue figures. CampMinder employs 25 people in Boulder, said Dan Konigsberg, chief executive.
"We take care of our clients. This is an industry that is so tight-knit that they share information with each other," Berliner said. "When we take care of one camp and help them out, they tell others."
CampMinder has been operating since 2002. The company relocated to Colorado five years ago after Konigsberg moved from New York to partner with Berliner, who lives locally.
