DENVER - Boulder-based startups Tagwhat Inc., WeatherCloud Inc. and Solid Power LLC are among 26 finalists that will pitch to potential investors Tuesday and Wednesday at the sixth annual Angel Capital Summit.

The event will be held in Davis Auditorium at Sturm Hall on the University of Denver campus, 2000 E. Asbury Ave., Denver.

David Cohen, founder and chief executive of TechStars, a Boulder-based incubator that provides seed money and mentoring for startup companies, will keynote the event, and Jon Nordmark, former CEO and co-founder of eBags and currently CEO of UsingMiles.com, will be a luncheon speaker.

The private-investment conference, sponsored by the Rockies Venture Club, is expected to draw more than 400 attendees, including both investors and companies looking for funding, from Colorado and surrounding states.

Other Boulder-based speakers at the summit include: Elizabeth Kraus, co-founder of The Impact Angel Group; Mark Lupa, managing director of High County Venture; and Robert Fenwick-Smith, founder and managing director of Aravaipa Ventures.

Investors and entrepreneurs will participate side-by-side Tuesday in a series of workshops covering topics ranging from valuation for early stage companies to exit strategies. On Wednesday, the finalists will make funding pitches to investors and others attending the event.

After last year's summit, 24 companies raised more than $15 million in angel investment, which resulted in the creation of more than 200 jobs, according to the event's sponsors.
