Texas Industries trades local subsidiary

The plant near Boulder is located at 11728 Colorado Highway 93 in unincorporated Jefferson County but has a Boulder mailing address. It has 26 employees and has been renamed Trinity Shale and Clay.
According to documents filed March 22 with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Texas Industries (NYSE:TXI) transferred its shale and clay manufacturing facilities near Boulder, Streetman, Texas, and Frazier Park, California, along with its DiamondPro product line and $8.5 million cash and related assets for Trinity's 42 ready-mix concrete plants stretching from Texarkana to Beaumont in east Texas and southwestern Arkansas, and two aggregate distribution facilities in Beaumont and Port Arthur, Texas.
Texas Industries is the largest producer of cement in Texas and a major cement producer in California. It also is a major supplier of construction aggregate, ready-mix concrete and concrete products.
