The Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes, based in Leesburg, Virginia, which is dedicated to rebuilding the lives of severely wounded veterans of the War on Terror, presented a $10,000 grant to the Louisville-based Rocky Mountain Hyperbaric Association for Brain Injuries. The grant will fund psychological counseling to veterans suffering from traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Via, a nonprofit organization in Boulder that provides transportation and mobility options in Boulder County, has received grants totaling $154,000. The funds will be used to provide accessible transportation, travel training, and information and referral for individuals unable to drive. The funds were awarded by Rose Community Foundation, $110,000; Longmont United Hospital, $30,000; Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center, $10,000; Collins Foundation Trust, $2,000; and the Community Foundation Serving Boulder County, $2,000.
