Phone survey seeks data on seniors' needs
Two hundred fifty households throughout Boulder County will be contacted by representatives from Holleran, a national firm that works with hospitals and senior-living communities, for a 15-minute survey. The survey focuses on access to health care, exercise and activity, and chronic conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease. All responses are confidential, and personal identifying information will not be collected.
The results of this study will provide information to identify unmet needs and potential solutions for seniors who make up 10 percent of the Boulder County population, according to Frasier.
Frasier encourages Boulder County residents to participate in this survey if they are contacted by Holleran. Those who have have caller ID will see the number show up with a 717 area code.
As part of this effort, Frasier is working with partner organizations including Boulder Community Hospital, Boulder Housing Partners, TRU Care (formerly HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield Counties), the University of Colorado, Via Mobility Services, the city of Boulder's Senior Services Department, and Boulder County Area Agency on Aging.
