Weplay acquisition a win for TeamSnap
Financial terms were not disclosed. Weplay had 2.25 million customers and 5 million users in 195 countries.
Boulder-based TeamSnap, headed by chief executive Dave DuPont, provides a mobile and web service for managing activities including recreational and competitive sports teams, social groups and other organizations.
TeamSnap delivers its services online, through email and text messages, and on apps for iPhones, iPads, and Android phones and tablets.
Weplay previously had raised a total of $15 million. As part of the deal, TeamSnap also acquires Weplay's technology, as well as online coaching resources and video content.
TeamSnap recently raised a $2.75 million investment round.
