Small Business Week events slated in area

The week is held to recognize the nation's entrepreneurs and small-business owners. The Boulder Small Business Development Center is funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Local events will be offered at the Boulder Chamber at 2440 Pearl St. in Boulder.
Suzanne De Lucia and Paul Chambliss of Front Range Business Inc. in Boulder will be presenters at the first event, "How and When to Buy or Sell a Business," scheduled for noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, at the chamber. The cost is $30 for Boulder Chamber and Longmont Chamber of Commerce members and $40 for nonmembers.
Heather Florence of Cybercom Consulting Inc. in Boulder will present "SEO Essentials" from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, June 19, at the chamber. SEO is the shorthand term for "search engine optimization" tools used to help find things on the Internet. The cost is $35 for chamber members and $45 for nonmembers.
Longmont attorney Theresa Pickner will present "Start-up Essentials" from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, at the chamber. Pickner will discuss various legal issues related to forming a small business. The cost is $35 for chamber members and $45 for nonmembers.
