Times-Call building goes on market
Last Updated: 17:38 August 23, 2013
Boulder-based Prairie Mountain Publishing Company LLP has owned the Times-Call since 2011 and has based the paper's business operations in Boulder since then.
According to the Times-Call report, Prairie Mountain president and chief executive Al Manzi said the paper's editorial and sales departments would be relocated once the building is sold.
The paper previously had moved its printing operations to a new facility in Berthoud in 2009, leaving much of its 48,310 square-foot building in downtown Longmont vacant.
"Selling the building will allow us to focus more on meeting the needs of our advertisers and readers, rather than managing a facility that is four times the size that is needed," Manzi told the Times-Call.
Prairie Mountain Publishing, which also owns the Daily Camera and several smaller papers around the state, sold the Camera building in downtown Boulder in 2010, moving to a smaller location at 5450 Western Avenue on the east side of town.
