DevOps conference set Oct. 24 in Boulder
Last Updated: 16:30 October 17, 2013
The conference is geared toward chief executives and technical leaders of companies backed by venture capital firms Foundry Group, TechStars and BulletTime Ventures. But it's free and open to anyone working in the DevOps realm.
DevOps is the breakdown of barriers between software developers and information-technology operations teams for the purpose of deploying new software, updates and fixes more quickly and frequently. The movement has gained steam in recent years among tech companies.
"It's been coming for some time," JumpCloud chief experience officer James Brown said. "I think we're finally seeing the combination of mature technologies and enough awareness for it to really become a mainstream thing. I think it's enough in the public eye that now is the time to really talk about it and get that education to the next level."
Brown said the conference will be a meeting of the minds, bringing together those in the field to talk about their successes and failures so everyone can learn and not repeat the same mistakes.
Executives from companies such as Rally Software, Gnip, Cloudability, JumpCloud, VictorOps and MobileDay will present and serve on panels at the daylong event.
