Peterson to lead Citywide's Boulder branch

Peterson will oversee the bank's operations at its branch at 1611 Canyon Blvd. in Boulder. He'll also direct the bank's growth plan in the Boulder market, according to a press statement issued by Denver-based Citywide Peterson has three decades of financial and banking experience and was born and raised in Boulder.
"Throughout his career, Blake has displayed the business savvy and the commitment to the local community that fits our bank's unique culture," said Joanne Sherwood, division president at Citywide Banks.
Peterson previously was vice president and principal relationship manager at Wells Fargo & Co. bank branches in Boulder. He also held commercial lending roles at offices of U.S. Bank in Denver, Vectra Bank in Boulder and Wells Fargo in Denver. He has a bachelor's degree from the College of William and Mary and a master's of business administration from the University of Colorado-Boulder.
Peterson is a board member of Impact on Education, a nonprofit foundation that supports schools in the Boulder Valley.
Citywide Bank is a family-owned bank with 12 branches and more than $1.1 billion in assets. The bank opened the branch in Boulder in May 2012.
