NeoMedia posts record operating income
Last Updated: 14:20 October 28, 2013
NeoMedia's revenue increased by approximately 136 percent from the same quarter a year ago due to the continued adoption and success of its barcode scanning app, NeoReader, its barcode management platform, QodeScan and its IP licensing program, according to a company statement.
But the Boulder-based company (OTCQB:NEOM), reported an overall net loss of $26.2 million for the quarter as compared to net income of $19.5 million for the same period a year ago. The company said the loss reflects the application of financial instrument fair value accounting and certain other nonoperational results.
Net operating income does not include deductions for income taxes or financial expenses, but those deductions are included in profit or loss figures.
