Boulder-based Boulder Ventures' new fund is called Boulder Ventures VI. The firm, led by Kyle Lefkoff, Peter Roshko, Jonathan Perl and Tim Hogheem, previously has run five other funds totaling $300 million. The firm, founded in 1995, mostly backs companies in software, IT and biotechnology.
Boulder-based Crestone, a wealth-advisory firm led by founder and chief executive Eric Kramer, had 14 investors put $3.65 million into Eldorado Natural Resources Fund III LP. The minimum investment made was $100,000.
Five investors put $3.35 million into the Maroon Peaks Private Equity Fund VI LP, according to another regulatory document.
The two new funds are pooled investment funds that can receive new investments throughout the year, said Jenny Hardy, the firm's chief compliance officer and operations manager.
