HomeGoods to open in Arapahoe Village
Last Updated: 15:28 December 23, 2013
The national chain store will be a junior anchor in the shopping center area on the southwest corner of 28th Street and Arapahoe Avenue, just west of a Safeway grocery store, according to Will Damrath, a spokesman for Regency Centers, the owner of the shopping center. Regency Centers has a regional office in Greenwood Village.
Damrath did not say which month the store will open.
HomeGoods is owned by TJX Companies Inc. (NYSE: TJX) in Framingham, Massachusetts, the company that also owns and runs T.J. Maxx and Marshall's retail stores.
"We're very excited to have that done and get HomeGoods open at the shopping center," Damrath said. "We've been working on it for awhile."
The retail space for HomeGoods came open when a Red Robin restaurant moved from its 6,435-square-foot space next to Safeway to the free-standing, 4,800-square-foot space formerly occupied by Talbots clothing store, which sits along Arapahoe Avenue. The new restaurant is named Red Robin Burger Works.
Bottles liquor store, previously just west of Red Robin, also was moved to another location in the shopping center to make way for the HomeGoods store.
