BOULDER - Juwi Solar Inc. will move to a 12,000-square-foot space in the Twenty Ninth Street shopping district from a nearby office.

Juwi Solar will occupy space on the south side of the plaza area near the movie theater. The company designs, builds and manages solar-power projects in the United States and has 60 employees. It is the North American headquarters of juwi Holding AG in Worrstadt, Germany, a company that builds renewable power-supply facilities.

Construction on the new juwi office space is expected to wrap up in the first quarter of 2014, said Kate Honea, a Twenty Ninth Street spokeswoman. A juwi spokesman declined to comment on the move. The company currently sub-leases space with Zayo Group LLC at 1805 29th St., Unit 2050, on the second floor above the Anthropologie clothing store in the shopping district.

Separately, juwi Wind LLC, another juwi subsidiary, is located at 4845 Pearl East Circle in Boulder. Juwi Wind builds wind power projects.

Juwi Solar has built solar projects in Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio and Texas, according to a company press statement. The company is privately held.
