FlexJobs has released a list of the top 100 companies to watch for work-from-home opportunities in 2014. FlexJobs workers researched more than 25,000 companies to come up with the list, according to a press statement. They looked at company databases and their job-posting histories to come up with the ranking.
Job seekers can use the list to help weed out scams and advertising commonly found on online job-listing boards, said Sara Sutton Fell, FlexJobs' chief executive.
Xerox Corp. (Nasdaq: XRX), was followed by UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH), Dell Inc., Aetna Inc. (NYSE: AET), and American Express (NYSE: AXP) as top companies across the United States that offer work-from-home opportunities. The complete list can be found on the company's website, www.flexjobs.com.
FlexJobs charges job-seekers a monthly subscription fee of $14.95 to look at jobs posted on the website. Three-month use options and one-year options are available. While the privately held company does not disclose revenues it has grown to 37 employees from its initial 20, said Chelsea Gladden, a company spokeswoman.
FlexJobs Corp.'s employees all work from home, Gladden said. Fell started the company in Boulder in 2009.
