FirstLight HomeCare opening in Boulder

The grand opening will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at 95a Bistro and Sushi, 1381 Forest Park Circle in Lafayette.
FirstLight is a franchise that offers personal-care services for seniors, new mothers, people recovering from surgery and people with dementia. Providers offer bathing and hygiene help, walking help and live-in care services.
New franchise owners Brian and Emily Wilson are planning a Beach Boys theme for the grand opening as a way to recognize that Brian has the same name as the famous Beach Boys singer. The event will feature Beach Boys tunes, food and door prizes.
FirstLight HomeCare of Boulder's service area includes Boulder, Longmont, Louisville, Lafayette, Superior, Broomfield, Westminster, Federal Heights and portions of Northglenn and Thornton.
Parent company FirstLight HomeCare Franchising LLC in Cincinnati, Ohio, oversees about 80 franchises around the country. The company's average home-care prices range from $18 to $21 per hour, according to information on the company website. Franchisees pay $33,500 for an initial franchise fee, according to the website. Franchisees must have a net worth of $150,000, with a minimum of $75,000 in liquid assets.
