Auto shops provide free service Saturday through nonprofits
Last Updated: 16:18 May 9, 2014
Participating shops include three in Boulder: The Auto Repair Place, Haglin Automotive & Boulder Transmission and Pellman's Automotive Service, plus Stang Auto Tech in Broomfield and Stan's Automotive in Lafayette. All five are members of the Boulder County TECH-NET Council, a noncompetitive network of automotive repair shops that provide philanthropic services to the communities they serve.
On this day of service, employees from all five shops will donate their time and talent to provide oil changes, tire rotations and fluids top-offs followed by a courtesy check of current and potential concerns.
Families to be served were selected through area nonprofit organizations A Precious Child, Circles of Boulder County, Emergency Family Assistance Association, Rocky Mountain Christian Church and Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence.
