Trio launches video production company

The new Boulder-based company is starting out with a focus on creating videos for businesses and nonprofits to bolster their web content and tell their stories online. But co-founder Jessie Davis said the group would like to get into filmmaking, including documentaries.
"I think all businesses and organizations like to tell their stories because that's how people connect to them," Davis said Tuesday.
Davis is launching Siren Vid with Megan Golliday and Kenya Brading. Davis said all three have backgrounds in television casting, with their individual experiences ranging from production to interviewing.
Davis declined to disclose startup costs, saying only that they've been "barely anything" as the owners have so far financed the entity themselves. She said she hopes to have a more established studio in the next six months.
The company has done a few projects already, shooting a couple of videos for Denver-based marijuana industry marketing firm Cannabrand, while also shooting a video for Boulder band Maynard and the Walnut.
"We've done a couple small projects, but we're ready to hit the ground running now," Davis said.
Davis said the company's website, SirenVid.com, will go live Thursday, and the company will have a launch party that same evening at Madelife.
