Last Updated: 16:00 May 27, 2014
Cadena is responsible for the delivery of SBA capital, counseling and contracting services throughout Colorado. He started the job May 19, replacing Greg Lopez, who resigned from the position in mid-April.
"I look forward to strengthening an already healthy Colorado economy by getting more capital into the hands of small-business owners and providing broader assistance for firms that want to do business with the federal government," Cadena said in a statement.
Before joining the SBA in 1997, Cadena spent 18 years working with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and the Resolution Trust Corp.
